FAQ
How many sessions
will I need?
Issues such as smoking, weight control and habits e.g. nail-biting, work best over four to six sessions. Identifying and dealing with the emotions that are interfering with your goals need to be dealt with to successfully achieve the change you are seeking and sometimes require further sessions. Successful treatment involves understanding these emotions when they surface to address the reasons for your continued undesirable behaviour.
Will you make me do something that I am not comfortable with?
As hypnosis is more like daydreaming than being asleep, so you are always aware of what you are being asked to do. You will reject requests or suggestions that do not fit with your morals. In hypnosis, you can't be made to discuss personal issues that you don't want to. However, we are trying to help you, and confidentiality and trust are what matter most.
What happens when
I am hypnotised?
During hypnosis, you are in a state of greater focus and heightened concentration, this helps you regain control of emotions and remove limiting beliefs and behaviours. Hypnosis is a guided process using verbal cues and repetition. The trance-like state in hypnosis is more similar to daydreaming than sleep but you are always fully aware of what's going on and will refuse to do anything you are not comfortable with.
